When using Intel Driver & Support Assistant I keep getting the following error "Sorry, something went wrong while trying to scan." I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling DSA and have the latest version, but still get the error.

I've managed to fix the WMI issue by following this video:-

and can confirm that Intel Driver & Support Assistant now works as it should.

Thanks all for your help.

Are you blocking any firewall ports?

What anti-virus do you have?

Download, run, and save the results of this utility as a text file:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility

Then ATTACH the text file (using the paperclip under the toolbar).

I'm using Avast Antivirus and I'm not blocking any ports.

I've tried running it with both Antivirus and the firewall turned off, but still get the same error.

This used to work, but now doesn't.

I've tied running the utility SSU, but nothing happens.

Please create a ZIP file containing all of the files in folder C:\ProgramData\Intel\DSA. Some files will be open and will fail to copy; don't worry about them. Use the paperclip icon below the response window to upload this ZIP file and attach it to your response post.

I forwarded this to the IDSA team. I am hoping that they will respond directly to you.

@ABiel3   This is Monique and I'm the IDSA project manager. Our developers reviewed the log files you provided and determined that there seems to be something wrong with WMI on your computer. It can't find WMI classes that should exist on all computers (BaseBoard, OperatingSystem), therefore it seems like there is an underlying problem with WMI, not related to IDSA.

Thanks for your patience. Hopefully someone else on the forum can help answer issues regarding WMI.
