Why isn't my built in SR300 working after a windows 10 update?

So, just to clarify. I've tried everything i could find on the intel site. The camera is built into my HP Envy laptop. The camera was working for a while, but after monkeying with it now all it shows is a black screen. In device manager, i'm able to see under Cameras "Intel(R) RealSense(TM) Camera SR300 RGB. Under Imaging Devices, I can see "Intel(R) RealSense(TM) Camera SR300 Depth" but there is no virtual anywhere. Every time I attempt to install the camera manager, all it seems to do is fail, giving me an error code. I can't seem to get it to work at all, so i'll link the error logs in hope that someone can give me some sort of answer. *UPDATE* By following https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000026184/emerging-technologies/intel-realsense-technology.html Windows® 10 Issues with Driver for Intel® RealSense™ Camera SR300 I was able to get the wizard to install correctly. Ish. Now if I attempt to open the Configuration manager for the camera it gives me another error "ERROR: Unable to load DSAPI32.dll. [expected v1.16.19.3, found none]

Others have had the missing DSAPI.dll problem with built-in RealSense cameras on other models of computer such as Lenovo, so it is not just you. It tends to be associated with trying to run a calibrator program. Though the SR300 does not have a calibrator app (the R200 does). Is the calibrator you are using a program that came with your computer?

Sometimes a file may fail to be found because a Windows registry file is corrupted. Microsoft have a tool that can fix corrupted registries, and is especially useful for programs that can't be installed or uninstalled.
