Hi Alex,
I suspect you may need to update to latest Intel graphics driver.
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&ProductFamily=Graphics&ProductLine=Processor+graphics&ProductProduct=3rd+Generation+Intel%C2%AE+Core%E2%84%A2+Processors+with+Intel%C2%AE+HD+Graphics+4000%2f2500&ProdId=3498&LineId=3310&FamilyId=39
If that does not work please provide log from the mediasdk_sysanalyzer tool that is part of the SDK package for further analysis.
Regards,

Alex,
With the appropriate drivers, Intel Media SDK works without issues in Ivy Bridge. We're using it with many different Ivy Bridge CPUs, motherboards and diverse Windows 7 versions. So, you should check your drivers.
