Dear Intel technician

1. Hardware-acceleration on the Intel Media SDK 2018 R1, Does it support HEVC codec decode, encode, 8-bit and 10-bit From Linux and Windows?

2. Can I Software(CPU) HEVC 8- and 10-bit decode, encode Intel Server Studio 2018 R1 Professinal Edition and Intel Xeon processor E5 v4 or v5 buying it?

3. Can I SW, HW accerlated encode, decode, 8-bit and 10bit a free download of Intel Media SDK 2018 R1 from Windows Server 2016?

We should support HEVC encode/decode in both OS, but we have some limitation on Linux.

Please let me know if there is any items which you can't get answer from these documents.

Can I understand that the content supported by medisasdk 2017 is fully supported in 2018?

I wonder if HEVC 10-bit hardware-accerlated decoding and encoding will be in 2018 version..

In addition, So if i buy and use Intel Xeon KabeLake processor Family then I can use Intel Media Server Studio 2018 and Intel Media SDK 2018?

No, Media Server Studio doesn't support KabyLake, see the following post for detail:

Hi, Mark, I recently installed the " Intel® Media Software Development Kit 2018 R2" , as is sayed in the release note ,

"The package includes the following components: 
 Intel® Media Software Development Kit 2018 R2 – HEVC Decode Plug-in, version 1.27.8.53 
 Intel® Media Software Development Kit 2018 R2 – HEVC Encode plug-in, version 1.27.8.55 
 Intel® Media Software Development Kit 2018 R2 – HEVC GPU Accelerated Encode plug-in, version 1.27.5.55 "

Does it mean that "HEVC GPU Accelerated Decoder" is not available by the media sdk ?
