IsIntel Quck Sync Hw accellerated encoder supported
on server platform: Xeon processor, rack-mounted chassis?
Or is it only supported on desktop and laptop models?
Where can we read specification platform requirements to
support Hw encoding (processor, chipset, motherboard)
and which motherboards support it?

Hi,
The MediaSDK API used to access Intel Quick Sync Video hardware is officially only exposed for desktop operating systems (Microsoft Vista and Windows 7). Intel's drivers for these operating systems include support for Server (Xeon) platforms.
The features of Intel products can be found here: http://ark.intel.com/, and Intel "Quick Sync Video" is listed as a features of products (processors) that contain support. Information about motherboard support are provided by the supplier of the motherboard.
