NV12 color format

Hi,
Is NV12 a YUV color sample or YCbCr color sample?
I have noticed that the 2 terms are used in many places when refering to NV12 while the actual formula of YCbCr is different from YUV by a shift.
what is the exact color sample that is expected by intel media sdk encoder? YUV or YCbCr ?

Hi,

It is YUV.  The mfxFrameInfo stucutre clarifies with the "ChromaFormat" member.  and MFX_CHROMAFORMAT_YUV420 is the format used by current Intel hardware.
