Hello, I would like to transcode 1080i streams in 720p . It is important with a server to transcode as many streams as possible simultaneously. Which CPU would you my plan for this recommended? or it makes sense to wait on the xeon e5-15xx ?
the streams have a bitrate of 12mbits and should be reduced to approximately 3mbit at a resolution of 1270x720.
the whole is to be realized with ffmpeg and output format 720p should be MPEG TS ...
codec h264_qsv / operating system ubuntu or centos
