Can Intel Media SDK be adopted to run on Xeon Phi ?

While Xeon Phi is a very capable platform for many types of applications, there is no fixed function video processing acceleration hardware.  Media SDK is not supported on Xeon Phi.  However, if there is a use case for it we are always interested in learning more for future product planning.

And what if I'm interested in Media SDK in software mode? Will it utilize the Phi?
