*9/25/24 - Please go to the following link for the latest updates: Intel Core 13th and 14th Gen Desktop Processor Vmin Instability Issue Root Cause*

The Via Oxidation issue currently reported in the press is a minor one that was addressed with manufacturing improvements and screens in early 2023.

The issue was identified in late 2022, and with the manufacturing improvements and additional screens implemented Intel was able to confirm full removal of impacted processors in our supply chain by early 2024. However, on-shelf inventory may have persisted into early 2024 as a result.

Minor manufacturing issues are an inescapable fact with all silicon products. Intel continuously works with customers to troubleshoot and remediate product failure reports and provides public communications on product issues when the customer risk exceeds Intel quality control thresholds.

So will mobile H55 processors like the 14900HX, 13980HX, and 13900HX encounter the same issue?

I think this mobile processor will not be affected, as laptop motherboard are not the same as the regular motherboards use on desktops.

I think your processor is not affected by oxidation, as stated above it was already fix last year, so the chip you bought is not affected. On that note, before you install your chip to the motherboard based on robeytech it is advisable to update the BIOS to the latest version to eliminate potential problems.

First check windows event viewer, check for irregular program crashes.

You will likely not have the oxidation issue, but its highly likely you got a malfuctioning CPU that will get worse over time, and you should RMA it.
