Hello mibo46,

Thank you for posting in Intel Communities.

To get a better understanding of the issue and be able to provide an effective recommendation, please provide the missing key information here:

1) When you say the latest code for non-K is out (From ASUS), do you mean the latest microcode?

2) If yes, can you share the exact ASUS motherboard model you have? Better yet, can you download the Intel® System Support Utility for Windows* software so I can help check your system details/configuration? When the download is complete, launch SSU.exe.

  1. Scan: Check the box Everything.
  2. Click Scan.
  3. Review: When finished scanning, click Next.
  4. Click Save (.txt)

3) Are you having any issues with your Intel CPU? *Please share the exact CPU model you have.

I will wait for your reply.

Best regards,

Jeanette C.

Hi Jeanette,
Thanks for your response. Please find attached #SSU Scan Information.
My motherboard is Asus from ASUSTek Computer Inc, ASUS TUF GAMING Z790-PLUS WIFI
The Bios and Firmware I downloaded is the BIOS 1661.
Have not downloaded 1663 as I do not know if it is the right one as it states:"The new BIOS includes Intel microcode 0x129 and adjusts the factory default settings for the non-K processors". As my processor is an i7-13700K unlocked model.
30MB Cache LGA1700 Product Code BX8071513700K S/N U2WT306502648  Batch# X250MO68T S-spec SRMB8

Be well

Please reply to above and please tell me how to configure the bios for Asus tuf gaming plus wifi for i-7 13700k.
Have set pl1to 125 and pl2 to 253 but still have thermal throttling on several cores with msfs2020 open but no flight. Have set max cpu at 95C
Please note that ambient temp is about 30°C

Hello mibo46,

Please update the BIOS to the latest version (1663) then load the Intel Default settings after the update. I would highly recommend that you contact your system manufacturer support team for this critical update. Let me know how it goes.

I too have a non-K processor, say i5-13500; the current microcode is 0x35. Gigabyte updated the latest microcode 0x129 with bios version F18d, I updated the new bios, but 13500 is not showing 0x129, also intel default settings are missing in bios.

Please reply to me

Thanking you
