CPU problem

I have an HP Presario Intel Atom CPU 230 1.60GHz that shows 100% usage. Do I have to trash this desktop or can I upgrade?

You can't physically upgrade an Atom as it is embedded in to teh motherboard.

I take it you have done all the usual things? fresh install of OS, cleaned system etc?
