D945GCL and Core 2 Duo E7600, will they work together?

Does anybody know if an Intel Core 2 Duo E7600 will work in a D945GCL mainboard? I know the E6700 is supported and the specs don't seem far off, 1066 BUS, 4MB L2, faster speed 3.06GHz and 45nm process.
