Hi, all.
I am trying to explore the Intel Memory Protection Key features during my experiments. I have devices, namely:
12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-12700,
Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2680 v4 @ 2.40GHz, and
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9750H CPU @ 2.60GHz.
I checked /proc/cpuinfo, but on all these three processors there were not flags about "pku". Does it means that PKU is no longer supported on these processors?

Hello qwqming,
Thank you for posting in our communities.
Intel MPX may be available in most Intel® 6th/7th/8th/9th Generation processors. However, 10th generation and newer processors on 10nm lithography no longer support this feature.
I have checked the three processors that you have shared, and only the i7-9750H has the feature of Intel MPX.
- 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-12700 - None
- Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2680 v4 @ 2.40GHz - None
- Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9750H CPU @ 2.60GHz - Yes
To check if a processor has a feature of MPX, please refer to this link:
If you have any questions, please let me know.
