E6600 replacement

Hi all!

I am sure you must have read this one million times already... but i just can't seem to ge a definitive answer... so i turn to you!

I was given a computer. It has an Intel E6600 in it and i am wondering if i can simply remove it and replace it with a Q9650.

It is a Dell 9200c.

Since the compatibility between the Intel processors and any third party motherboard is determined by the motherboard manufacturer, you need to contact the motherboard manufacturer so they can provide you a list of fully supported processors for your DELL* system, in this case you need to contact DELL*.
