This is determined by the design/features of the motherboard and its BIOS. You need to consult the web site for the manufacturer of this motherboard so see what information they provide.

Well, I can confidently say that that is not the whole answer. You can practically always use SATA-based SSDs with Intel chipsets. I don't know what motherboard you actually have, but I rather doubt that it is one that is not equipped with at least one or two SATA ports. And, just saying, while it is unlikely that your motherboard is not equipped with M.2 port(s) or NVMe support in its BIOS, it is impossible for anyone to answer with 100% confidence without knowing what motherboard you have.
