Hybrid technology for basic usage

Hello,

I am presently using a desktop computer driven by an i5-9400 CPU. I am looking to buy a new desktop computer to take advantage of the newest technology. I have read several articles about the hybrid chips but I did not find any article that would address my question. Every single article I've read talks about the advantage of the new technology for gaming even on a laptop. I do not spend time gaming at all. Should I reach the conclusion that the hybrid technology is useless to me?

I use my computer for surfing the web, emails, looking at photos and handling Word and Excel documents. How would I benefit of the hybrid technology in such a context? Maybe I should stick to my i5-9400 if I cannot take advantage of the performance cores.
