[I7-6700K] 4th core damaged?

Hallo zusammen,

ich habe seit einiger Zeit das Problem, dass bei mir sowohl Firefox als auch Chrome ständig abstürzen. Microsoft Edge läuft ziemlich stabil.

Was aber sehr störend ist, dass die Grafik in Spielen zittert, siehe Video, mit iGPU das gleiche Problem.

Wenn ich im Bios die CPU nur auf 3 Kerne einstelle, dann laufen alle Browser stabil und in Spielen habe ich keine Darstellungsfehler

First, can you please share the .txt file that the Intel® Processor Diagnostic Tool generates? Furthermore, have you tried restoring the BIOS settings back to default? Additionally, can you try testing your processor into a different motherboard?Antony S.

at the moment the bios runs with default settings. Sorry but there is no possibility to testing another mainboard.

For me to continue investigating into this, please share with us the following:

• Run the Intel® Processor Diagnostic Tool with 1 core, 3 cores and 4 cores activated and share the .txt file (one report for every single scenario).
• Run a CPU stress test with the https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/24075/Intel-Extreme-Tuning-Utility-Intel-XTU-?product=66427 Intel® Extreme Tuning Utility with 1 core, 3 cores and 4 cores activated and share a screenshot of the results (one screenshot for every single scenario).

should I turn off the cores in Windows or in Bios?

Ok I turned off the cores in Bios, here the results. One question are five minutes stress test enough?

Three cores

Four cores
