I7 6700K

So I bought a I7 6700K second hand and my processor only has 2/4 cores working. and I have went through and changed my core count to 4 and done every YouTube tutorial to fix this and nothing has changed. can anyone please help me fix this problem.

It is a used processor, so do not expect much.

Has your motherboard bios been updated?

Do you know for certain that your motherboard supports this processor?

 

And, while I do not see your processor in the list, you can try running the IPDT:
