[INTEL APO Game Request] VRChat

Hi,
I am reaching out to suggest adding support for a specific game to Intel APO Application Optimization, this enhancement could bring a big performance improvement and attract many new customers to the Intel CPU platform.

The game in question is VRChat, both a desktop flatscreen and Virtual Reality compatible game with around 40k to 50k peak daily users and around 300k estimated monthly recurring userbase.
VRChat is known for being CPU
-limited, meaning users prioritize the CPU over the graphics card when building a new computer for it. This is due to the user-generated content within the platform, which prevents the basic optimizations that are typically applied during the development of popular games.
Currently
, the consensus on popular forums like Reddit and through word of mouth is that AMD CPUs, particularly the X3D series with large, fast L2 caches, provide a significantly better and more consistent experience for VRChat. These CPUs often deliver nearly double the performance compared to the closest Intel processors.
I believe supporting VRChat with Intel APO will significantly close the gap or even surpass it, potentially shifting public opinion in this game specifically in favor of Intel for future computer builds. This improvement could attract many new customers to Intel, who will have otherwise chosen AMD for its superior performance in this game.

Hi Hfaith,

Thank you for posting in Intel Communities.

We appreciate your feedback and suggestion. We will forward this to the concerned team. As much as we would like to get your suggestion added, it would depend on the concerned team whether they will add it to the software and when they will implement it.

We hope for your understanding on this.

Best Regards,

You seriously deleted my message, which included my voice as a request to add VRChat, and what is more for you\Intel,  it also included a link to proof/comparison confirming that the Intel CPU is actually not worse in VRChat than AMD's 3D. I am curious to know what is wrong with you?

Your post was considered to be spam.  This thread was already answered by Intel.  Did you not read the answer?

But where's the spam in that? I joined the request for VRChat support - months have passed, but APO still doesn't support this game.

Also, I posted a link to some CPU comparisons and it turns out that VRChat is still a CPU-heavy game that needs APO support. But it doesn't seem to perform worse and sometimes it even runs better on Intel CPUs compared to AMD 3d CPUs. That sounds more like a free marketing than spam, LOL! But then again, it's not even fanboyism, I just wanted to debunk the myth that AMD 3D are always better for VRChat and joined to request! I'm sorry, but the moderation here is...a bit weird!

I said it was considered to be spam.  It is not easily translated.  You were a first time poster, providing a link to a site that was suspicious, no translation into english.  You wanted your voicve to be heard, well it has.   Now we are done with this.

Hey, man, I was a bit confused. The person above me wrote that the CPU 3D in VRChat is way better, but I gave a link to a benchmark that says that's not exactly true. (My personal comparisons between the 7950X3D and 14900K also showed pretty similar results.)
Also, I added my two cents to the request. Then, someone deleted my post and called me a spammer. What the heck?) But okay, that's enough. Let's not make a drama . Peace out!
