I recently bought an i7 14700KF (which falls into one of the most critical categories) just some weeks before the news of the high voltage issue with these CPUs emerged. My question is whether Intel has already fixed the problem in newer batches, and if these updated versions are available for sale. I'm considering returning my CPU to get one of the fixed versions, as I invested a lot my high performance PC, which also includes a 4090 GPU. I expect the CPU to live up to its value!
The main reason I opted for Intel over the cheaper R7 7800X3D was Intel's reputation for longer CPU lifetime and stable drivers. Turns out, that no longer seems to be the case.
