Hello!
I have a Hp compac 8200 with an upgraded processor Intel R Corel TM i5 2400 cpu 3.100Hz. That processor don’t accept windows 11. I wonder if it’s possible to upgrade the computer to an intel core i7- 2600?
best regards

Even if it is possible, you still cannot run W11. And, only HP can tell you if the i7-2600 is compatible with their bios.

@Jesse_ethon It is more than socket compatibility. The OP must make certain that the HP bios supports the processor first. And, W11 is only supported on 8th gen an later processors. Yes, you may be able to hack your way to running on a 2nd gen processor, but what will you do for a video driver? There is not one for W10, and certainly not for W11. Yes, there is the Microsoft generic driver, which has limitations.
Regurgitating answers from others is pretty lame.
