Hello Intel Community,
I'm having an issue with my Samsung Galaxy Book (Model: NT950QDB, Windows 11 Home 23H2).
The device "Intel(R) Serial IO I2C Host Controller - A0EA" shows the following error in Device Manager:
> This device cannot start. (Code 10)
> A request for the HID descriptor failed.
Due to this, my touch screen and S-Pen (ACPI\WCOM0134\1) are not working.
I’ve already tried:
1. Uninstalling the device and reinstalling the latest Intel Serial IO Driver from Samsung’s support site.
2. Updating Windows to the latest version.
3. Resetting BIOS to default settings.
Unfortunately, the issue persists.
Here’s the detailed event log:
<EventID>411</EventID>
<DeviceInstanceId>ACPI\WCOM0134\1</DeviceInstanceId>
<DriverName>hidi2c.inf</DriverName>
<Status>0xC00000E5</Status>
Could anyone please help me identify whether this is a driver compatibility issue or hardware-related?
Thank you in advance.
System Information:
- Model: Samsung NT950QDB-KC58A
- OS: Windows 11 Home 23H2
- BIOS version: P14AFN.1B
- Intel Serial IO Driver version: 30.100.2229.8
