Intel ultra series 2 - very slow usb detection in linux

I have an Intel Ultra Series 2 265 on a

ROG B860G board with BIOS (latest today) 1406.

The problem is: any device connected to usb (keyboards, mouse) is detected very slow, around 1 min after login screen.

The login screen appears and you cannot type the password because there is no keyboard or mouse.

I tried 3-4 distros: Fedora, Kubuntu, Opensuse (curent) and it behaves the same.
I installed also the latest Kernel 6.16-rc7 and it behaves the same.

At this point I do not know where is the problem:
- asus bios
- linux firmware

- linux Kernel.

What do you suggest to do?
I do not know how to contact linux kernel devels.

Any sugestions?

thanks

Hello georgenistor_ro,

Thank you for posting in Intel community Forum.

For me to better understand and diagnose the issue further, let me ask you to provide detailed responses to the following questions. This information will help me isolate the problem and determine the most appropriate course of action moving forward.

  1. When did you start having this problem?
  2. Was it working fine before?
  3. What was the last change made in the system before the issue started?
  4. Are you using the USB ports on the chassis or at the back of the system directly from the motherboard?
  5. Have you also tried contacting the motherboard for further support and troubleshooting? I/O is being controlled by the chipset controller on the board.

If you have questions, please let us know. Thank you.
