Issue with persistent FPS counter after installing Intel Driver & Support Assistant

Dear Intel Support Team,

I recently installed the Intel Driver & Support Assistant (or Intel Graphics Command Center) to update my graphics card drivers. Since the installation, an FPS counter (frame rate indicator) has appeared on my screen, and I am unable to find an option to disable or remove it.

Could you please provide instructions on how to turn off this overlay?

Thank you for your assistance.

Best regards,

belal aimen

Hello Belal2008,

Thank you for contacting the Intel Community Forum. I understand you wish to remove the FPS overlay on your screen. For us to investigate the cause and provide you the correct steps to turn it off, kindly provide the following information below:

  • Are you using a laptop or desktop computer? What's the model?
  • What version of graphics driver do you currently have installed?
  • Are you running Integrated Processor Graphics or a Discrete Graphics card? Which model specifically?
  • Have you done any troubleshooting to fix this issue?
  • What operating system and build version are you running?
  • Have you utilized FPS overlay tools in the past when playing games? This issue might be caused by another third-party software that has FPS overlay capabilities.

For us to gain a comprehensive understanding of your system, please use the System Support Utility (SSU). This tool will generate a text file compiling all your system information. You can follow the instructions at this link and send the text file here.

Dear Stanley B. and Intel Support Team,

I would like to apologize for the delay in my response and for the oversight regarding my previous inquiry.

To be honest, a couple of days had passed without a response, so I mistakenly assumed the thread might have been overlooked and stopped checking for updates. I didn't mean to ignore your assistance.

I am now opening this new ticket as requested to continue resolving the persistent FPS counter issue that appeared after installing the Intel Driver & Support Assistant. I will make sure to monitor this thread closely from now on.

Thank you for your time and professional support.

Best regards, Belal
