Lap top is slow...

I bought an Acer Timeline with 3GB Ram but the SU2700 processor seems slower than previous laptops. Can I upgrade this processor?

The processor that you have is not one of the high end ones so it is normal that you wont experience any performance upgrade.

Regarding the compatible processors for your laptop, only the manufacturer (Acer) can give you a list of supported ones as the BIOS has to support the processor in order to work.
