I beg a pardon if I have chosen wrong place to ask this question If I was wrong please show me the right forum. I`m developer and currently trying to deal with VT-x extension. Let`s suppose I would like to setup 2nd core of the CPU to execute non-root instructions and suddenly happen VM exit event due to some instruction. Which core will handle this event? First or second?
That will depend on the operating system, not on the processor itself, keep in mind that the usage of the cores of the processor is determined by the operating system and also by the particular application that is running at that moment.
