It all depends on what processors are supported by the motherboard bios.   To know that, you have to ask the motherboard manufacturer.

Some motherboard manufacturers publish a support page for their boards, listing all the processors supported and minimum bios level.  You may want to look at that.

Not really.  If a motherboard supports the socket, and the motherboard bios supports the processor, then the chipset is assumed.
