Hello pabloreraz,

Thank you for engaging with the community. The issue you're experiencing with voltage adjustment could be due to several factors. Here are some approach to address your concerns:

  • Ensure your BIOS is updated to the latest version to resolve any compatibility and functionality issues. Manufacturers frequently release updates to address such concerns.
  • Check your BIOS for settings related to voltage control or Icc Max. Some settings might need to be enabled or configured. For detailed assistance, please contact your motherboard manufacturer.
  • Refer to your motherboard manual for specific instructions on adjusting voltage settings. The error might be linked to voltage regulator settings, so ensure the voltage regulator is correctly configured in the BIOS.

If your intention is to overclock the processor, be aware that altering clock frequency or voltage may void any product warranties and reduce stability, security, performance, and life of the processor and other components. For more information, visit Overclocking Intel Processors.

To assist you further, could you please provide the following details?

  1. What is the exact model of your motherboard?
  2. Why do you want to change the voltage on your processor?
  3. What is the current BIOS version on your motherboard?
  4. Is your BIOS setting currently set to "Intel Default Setting"?

Hello pabloreraz,

Thank you for sharing this information. It seems that you're using a B series motherboard, which typically doesn't support voltage adjustments or overclocking capabilities. These features are generally available on Z series motherboards. As a result, even with a 14700K processor, you may encounter limitations in this area. I recommend contacting your motherboard manufacturer for further assistance and guidance on this matter.

Hello pabloreraz,

As I mentioned earlier, the reason it is set to "unknown" may be related to motherboard compatibility. For further explanation, please refer to this link. As noted, B or W series motherboards (such as B760, B660, W680, etc.) only support memory overclocking, which can lead to limitations in using the Intel® XTU tool and potentially cause some errors. You may confirm this with your motherboard manufacturer for more accurate information.

Since I haven't heard back from you, I will proceed to close this inquiry. If you need further assistance, please submit a new question, as this thread will no longer be monitored.
