Quad Q6600 Temps

I have been trying to find the info, but to no avail. I have a Core 2 Quad Q6600 with a Zalman CNPS9500 AT fan and heatsink. Using coretemp.exe it shows my idle temp anywhere from 42-44 C. Is that acceptable? It does get lower sometimes depending on the ambient temp of the room./ Just not sure when I should start worring about the temp. Thanks for your help.

I wouldn't be worried about that temperature... My Q6600 with the stock heatsink is about 40-45 at idle and creeps upto 65-70 under full load when i'm boinc-ing. This is in a small slimline desktop micro ATX case, but it is quite well ventilated.

I have just installed a Zalman CNPS8700-NT into the same PC, and the idle temp has only dropped slightly, but now under load the temperature seems to max out at 55'C
