Severe Lag when opening Performance TAB in Task manager!

Hello, owner of ASUS ROG Scar 16 275HX RTX 5090 here.

Like some previous posts , I'm experiencing massive lag when opening Task manager and clicking on Performance Tab, it would cause massive lag of 3-4 sec before it opens it.

THIS should NOT happen on such high end machine, even my laptop from 2021 with i7 11800H opens Task Manager immediatly. It's very frustrating to have paid 5000€ on laptop which struggles to open task manager. Mind blowing.

This issue wasn't present with OEM driver 32.0.101.6790 from Windows Update. Windows Update really forcing this 32.0.101.6790 to be installed and reverts back my new driver update with 32.0.101.8331. The fix was to install 32.0.101.8331 without clicking on "Clean Installation" so I can have new Intel driver. Or using utility to block Windows Update 32.0.101.6790.

What I found :

No lags :

OEM 32.0.101.6790 + windows 11 ISO clean installation from USB version October 5th 2025 (and no latest updates from windows update). No lag, instant opening! HOWEVER 32.0.101.8331 (or 8250) + windows 11 ISO october 2025 (no updates) LAGS when clicking on performance tab.

Lags :

1) OEM 32.0.101.6790 + latest windows 11 updates december 2025 (no preview KB5070311) = now even the opening of Task manager lags and not loading it fully but like half , right side is visble with apps and the left side is blank. But it loads after 1-2sec. Almost No lags when clicking on Performance tab (still lags can happen !)

2) 32.0.101.8331 + latest windows 11 updates december 2025 (no preview KB5070311), Task manager opens instantly, but when I click on Performance tab , HUGE lag 3sec. When Im using iGPU only (5090 is off and not appearing in task manager), clicking on Performance tab is slightly faster maybe 2sec.

Major discovery:

I noticed one thing and it might be the key of these lags, upon opening Task manager, all apps icon (small logos) ARE NOT LOADED, they are blank, a soon as apps icons are loaded and displayed , I can click on performance tab and NO LAGS!

This is outrageous it feels like Im not the owner of the laptop and it belongs either to Intel or Asus because Im forced to use old drivers from april 2025, this shouldnt be the case. Thankfully I got rid of all telemetry + local account.

I believe It's Intel drivers + maybe windows 11 updates.

I did 6 times windows 11 iso clean installation, issue is still present! Laptop works flawlessly outside of that Task manager lag !

More findings :

Upon DDU uninstall of Intel driver  32.0.101.8331 + Nvidia 591.44 in safe mode using DDU, Task manager would open INSTANTLY with no lags! But once I install  32.0.101.8331 or any other (except 6790) it would immediatly lag when opening Task manager and apps icons aren't loaded instantly. It's like Intel driver doesnt give enough power to load, my feelings. I could be wrong Im no engineer.

One thing really drives me mad, after clean DDU and installing latest  32.0.101.8331, Windows would force by itself the old april 2025  32.0.101.6790 driver ! OMG !!! WHY? WHY? WHY? I can't wrap my mind. Can't revert back to  32.0.101.8331in Device manager.

So I have intall it again on top of  32.0.101.6790 and this making DDU useless!

Intel please fix it!
