I am unable to update from windows 10 to windows 11 because there is not compatible TPM2 detected.
I've tried following microsoft's guidance to enable TPM but have been unsuccessful. According to microsoft the Core i5 10th gen should be compatible. However, when I go into the BIOS to enable "Security Device Support" there is "no security device found" (please see attached pics)
Is the core i5-10400F not TPM compatible or is there another setting somewhere I need to adjust

Your CPU is compatible with Windows 11.
This issue is almost certainly related to the motherboard BIOS.
What you need to do is to first of all update to the latest drivers from the support page your board. For a Gigabyte board you need intel INF installation, Intel Serial I/O driver and Intel Management Engine Firmware. These should be marked as Windows 11 64 bit compatible. Install the drivers in the order given.
After restarting your machine install the latest BIOS. This may well be dated 2025. The latest BIOS should have the correct default settings to allow Windows 11 to be installed without issue. One of the defaults is to select the Intel firmware TPM, the previous default under Windows 10 was to select the separate plug-in TPM. This default setting could explain a Security Device not found message.
