I have a Gateway MT6705 from 2007. It had Vista on it but when encounted an error a while back (Vista 3 of 3 loop). Since then I upgraded this computer by updating the Ram and OS. I now have Windows 7 but I want to update my Processor and unsure if it will work.

Right now I have an Intel Dual-Core T2060 1.6 Ghz and I am wanting to get the Intel Core2 Duo T6500, or could I even use the

.Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0GHz Processor

Will this work on my system?

You must contact gateway and ask them what processors are supported by their motherboard bios. Then, you can select from those processors.

An upgrade processor must be socket, bios, and chipset compatible.
