Updating i7

I am no PC expert, pleasse be kind. I just wanted to update my i7, since the last update date was 4-1-04? It said I had the most current update. Is that correct for this processor?

2004? The Core i7 wasn't even available then. Perhaps you are reading the BIOS date or something? (Though I doubt even the BIOS is that old)
