Watchdog Lockout

Hi so I recently built my pc and don't really know how to tune so when I tried to increase the cache ratio, it just hung on me. Had to do a quick restart. Got back in and it told me long story short that I was banned from overclocking due to Watchdog Timeout. Is there a way to revert this without resetting the bios/cmos?

Since we do not yet have the complete details of your system configuration, it would be helpful to review your processor, motherboard, BIOS, and other system information before determining the appropriate next steps.

Please note that Intel supports overclocking on eligible unlocked processors, such as K- and X-series models, when paired with compatible hardware and motherboard/chipset configurations. Overclocking behaviour and available controls can also depend on the motherboard BIOS and manufacturer implementation.

For now, we recommend keeping the processor and cache settings at their default/Auto values rather than making further tuning changes. Also, check with your motherboard manufacturer for the latest BIOS and update the BIOS if a newer version is available. Intel recommends having the latest BIOS installed when troubleshooting tuning/XTU-related issues.

After updating the BIOS, restart the system and check whether the overclocking lockout/Watchdog Timeout message is still present.
