Hello,
I'm the not-so-proud owner these days of a Corsair prebuilt Vengeance PC that came with an i9-13900KS cpu. Corsair uses proprietary BIOS in all their prebuilt PCs, meaning that any crucial updates (such as Intel's microcode) can only be obtained through them and not directly from the motherboard manufacturer.
Thus far, Corsair have not provided updated BIOS containing this crucial fix for any of their line of prebuilt PCs, and my impression is they never will. In fact, my particular model has only one set of BIOS available for it and they're dated from early last year, meaning literally a dozen or so BIOS updates from ASUS (my mobo manufacturer) were produced in that time that Corsair never bothered to integrate and make available to me.
What are my options here? Will this microcode update eventually be made available via a Windows update as several similar microcode updates have before it?
And just an FYI for anyone looking to read me the riot act or wag an admonishing finger at me for buying a prebuilt PC in the first place: I'm disabled and simply can't physically build a PC on my own. Trust me, I wish I could. That said, had I known Corsair used proprietary BIOS in their prebuilt PC I NEVER would have purchased this future paper weight of a machine.
Thank you

If you have not had any issues so far, you should be good until a BIOS update arrives or the microcode is made available through Windows.
