Which CPU: Best performance. Minimum power

Hi!

i´m looking for a Proc with very little power consumption.......the lowest

but i need also performance for mixing audio

TDP isnt too accurate in some cases, I heard

so....anyone knows something about REAL power consumption???

I´m looking for something with 4 cores

My i3 540 records 23 watts at idle, according to the motherboard. Not too much more when doing basic tasks.

If you want the lowest total, your best bet is either a low end core or a mobile core2, with speed step. I can't find anything on realworld at the moment, but I know it is out there. Search tomshardware/anandtech/hardocp/etc
