Which CPUs do not support the POPCNT instruction?
NVIDIA said that starting with Game Ready Driver version r555, CPUs that do not support the POPCNT instruction will experience BSOD.
The unsupported CPU known to date is core2duo e8400.
Are there any CPUs in future generations that do not support POPCNT? Please share.
참고 : EOL Windows driver support for older CPUs without POPCNT instruction

Hi, GTX.
Thank you for posting in our Community.
The POPCNT instruction, which stands for “Population Count,” is a CPU instruction that counts the number of set bits (1s) in a binary value. It’s used in various computational tasks, including artificial intelligence workloads. I'd like to know about the CPU that you're referring to that is not supported by the POPCNT instruction, is it Intel® Xeon® Scalable Processors?
Looking forward to your response. Have a nice day!
Best regards,
Von M.

I am involved in the production of automatic driver installation software and plan to announce precise instructions to prevent BSOD in systems with older CPUs (more precisely, CPUs that do not support the POPCNT instruction).
