core i5 problem

I recently purchased a core i5 750 processor. I installed the processor correctly, but on further inspection, I noticed one of the gold pads on the bottom of the cpu was gone. I was wondering what affect this would have on my computer, and if it would still work correctly.

It could, it all depends which pad and what function the pad has....

Heres a picture of it. I've looked for a diagram that says what all the pads do, but I cant seem to find one. Do you know of anyplace?
