i need 4 working cores.. and what laptops are available to me offer 2 cores and 2 hyperthreaded cores in both intel i5 and inteli3 with which core should i go? i need to choose a processor for softwares like solidworks ansys and arduino

Regarding the system requirements for those programs, the i5 processors would be good for you.

Now, there is a way to find the processors that have 2 or 4 cores, logical or physical.

It would be to access http://ark.intel.com/# @Processors ARK | Your Source for Intel® Product Specifications choose the generation (5th or 6th for better performance) and family (i5 or i7 processors).

Once the gen and family is selected, make sure you are in the mobile tab.

I am providing this information so you can look for laptops that may have the desired processor, this would be a easier way to find your new device.
