i3 540 problem

Today i went to a store to buy the Intel i3 540 processor and the seller told me that that model had temperature problems and had to be taken off the markeet because of that. Is it true? I wanted to buy It to replace my old one.

I'd really apreciate your help!

Interesting story, but it is not true. The seller is wrong. Which store did you go to?
