Hi All,
I have intel i7 930 processor whose average temperature is 50-55C without any heavy process running.
I wanted to know whether this is normal or whether i have to include some extra fan.
Kindly note that i have nVidea GeForce GTX 470 (1280 MB) GPU whose temp is 60-65C (Do not think this is affecting the temp of i7 processor.)
And i am using GIGABYTE X58A-UD7 motherboard.
I have installed only the default fans that comes with processor. Could any one help me regarding this??Link Copied

Hello,
Refer to the CPU specifications for the max threshold temperature:
http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=41447&processor=i7-930&spec-codes=SLBKP http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=41447&processor=i7-930&spec-codes=SLBKP
Make sure to have the latest bios installed if there is any new fixes in the bios release notes.
Try the board out of the chassis to see if there is any big difference.
All the best,
Kind Regards,
Aryan.

Nothing to worry about. As long as it doesn't reach 95°C is fine but the temperatures are little higher than in average PC. If your cpu runs at default clock speed you could only try to improve airflow in a chasis of your PC. It will decrease all temperatures.
I hope this helps.
