single w5590 on dual processor motherboard

Is it possible to put just one single w5590 processor on an asus z8pe-d18 dual processor motherboard?

Hi there,

The manufacturer of the motherboard might be able to provide you this answer as to whether this configuration is supported on this board.

I would advise you to check on their website or forums for more information.

On my Intel boards it's supported, you can only have 1/2 the ram though as the ram is dedicated to each socket.
