Kernel 3.5 drops support for usbfs -> jtagd no longer recognises programming hardware

With the new linux kernel version 3.5 support for usbfs has been dropped (it has been deprecated for a long time now)

As jtagd scans /proc/bus/usb to find hardware devices and this is no longer available in linux, will altera make available a version of jtagd that makes use of libusb?

Will be any solution for those of us that do not want to take the obvious solution? (holding linux version @ 3.4)
