1- Please elaborate more on the specific issues and error messages that Intel® Driver & Support Assistant (Intel® DSA) is experiencing. 2- What type of drivers are you trying to install/update using Intel® DSA? For instance, graphics drivers, wireless drivers? etc.

3- Did the software work fine before? If yes, what changes did occur at that moment? Was there any recent Windows* or driver update? Or was any hardware/software change? Please provide details.


4- Run the Intel® System Support Utility (Intel® SSU) to gather more details about the system.

  • Download the Intel® SSU and save the application on your computer
  • Open the application, check the "Everything" checkbox, and click "Scan" to see the system and device information. The Intel® SSU defaults to the "Summary View" on the output screen following the scan. Click the menu where it says "Summary" to change to "Detailed View".
  • To save your scan, click Next and click Save.
  • Once you have saved the file (.txt file), please attach the file to your reply.

To upload and attach a file, use the "Drag and drop here or browse files to attach" option below the response textbox.

Also, we would like to inform you that our Intel® DSA developers reviewed the error log that you posted and it could be that the error is being caused by an issue with the network. This could be a firewall setting or some other network configuration. But when the install runs it needs to hit some Microsoft* URLs. This is failing and hence the install failure.


Perhaps you need to allow the correct ports to be accessed? The Intel® DSA accesses localhost on ports 28385-28389. It also connects to www.intel.com, downloadcenter.intel.com, and downloadmirror.intel.com, all on port 443 (HTTPS). For more details please review this article: Things to Know Before I Start to Use the Intel® Driver & Support Assistant (Intel® DSA).
