There are Intel W680 chipset LGA 1700 motherboards available such as the ASUS Pro WS W680-ACE that according to its specs supports "...4 x DIMM, Max. 192GB, DDR5 ECC and Non-ECC Un-buffered Memory...". ASUS confirm support for all LGA 1700 12th, 13th and 14th gen processors with this board including the 14900K, KF and KS.
So yes in a W680 chipset board the 14900KF will support ECC memory. You need to look carefully at the memory QVL for a board like this if you are planning on going this route, specific ECC modules and memory sizes are involved. The W680 motherboards receive similar BIOS updates to other Intel 600 series chipset products. So in the case of this particular ASUS board the latest BIOS does include the 0x129 firmware update.
As well as workstation boards like the ASUS Pro WS ACE there are also server boards based on the W680, Supermicro produce some for example.
