Hello, I have an i5-10400 and it has a maximum frequency of  4.30 GHz and I have the turbo boost activated but it is like the processor is blocking the GHZ at 2.90 GHz, I do not understand why when playing it does not work at 4.30 GHz

Hello Benja23_Jeh,

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.

In this case, the "Intel® Turbo Boost Technology 2.0 Frequency is the maximum single-core frequency at which the processor is capable of operating using Intel® Turbo Boost Technology". The 4.30 GHz can be reached under specific circumstances.

Also, the Turbo boost technology is controlled by the operating system and it will determine the frequency and also the moment when it needs to be enabled as well as for the frequency that needs to increase the core or cores selected. This process cannot be set manually, if the frequency increase for short periods of time it means that the Turbo boost and the CPU works.
