Laptop for Linux with Fun CPU

Looking to buy a laptop upon which to install Manjaro Linux & would like to have the best CPU for the money. Looking for a CPU that would be most entertaining to watch in System Monitor. My current Core i3 has 4 CPUs; are there laptop chips with more than 4 CPUs?

Thanks

Hello Anonymous,

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities. I understand that you are interested in replacing your current CPU.

In this case, Intel does not advise which CPU to buy since this will depend on the budget, use, and like in this case, the laptop features. I recommend you to check with the laptop manufacturer to confirm the features that could limit the CPU performance.

I am not sure what you mean by "Looking for a CPU that would be most entertaining to watch in System Monitor", but you can check the following link and select teh CPU that you want and then contact the laptop manufacturer to confirm if your current laptop can be upgraded or if you need to buy a new one.
