hi, I have been looking at new computers. I generally don't play games but do a lot of video editing which takes a lot. I am looking at an NVIDIA 4080 16 megs, computer 32 megs, and a processor something along the lines of 13th Generation Intel® Core™ i7-13700KF or an
- 13th Generation Intel® Core™ i9 processor I am wondering if I am just wasting a lot of unnecessary speed? Like I say, I don't play games. But, editing is really intensive?

hello bruce
yeah.. it's good that you're considering upgrading to a new computer for your video editing needs. Given that video editing can be quite demanding on system resources, having a powerful setup is crucial for smooth performance.
about potentially wasting unnecessary speed, it's important to strike the right balance between performance and cost-effectiveness. While high-end components like the NVIDIA 4080 GPU and 13th Generation Intel® Core™ processors offer impressive performance, it's essential to assess whether the additional power aligns with your specific editing requirements.
Since you primarily focus on video editing rather than gaming, you might not need the absolute highest-end components designed for gaming enthusiasts. However, having a CPU and GPU can significantly enhance your editing workflow, allowing for faster rendering times and smoother playback.
Considering your usage pattern, opting for a mid-range CPU like the Intel® Core™ i7-13700KF or even a slightly lower-end option could still provide excellent performance for video editing tasks while potentially offering better value for your budget.
Ultimately, it's about finding the right balance between performance, budget, and your specific editing needs.
Thank you
Williams
