I took a intel cpu e8400 cpu. but it was not in box packed. how to identify whether it is original intel cpu....??

You can properly identify a processor by running the Intel® Processor Identification Utility.
You can download the Intel® Processor Identification Utility at:
http://www.intel.com/support/processors/tools/piu/ http://www.intel.com/support/processors/tools/piu/
If you are referring to physically identify the processor, I would suggest also calling the local support center at:
http://www.intel.com/support/9089.htm http://www.intel.com/support/9089.htm
And providing them all the information on top of the processor, so the customer service agent will be able to determine if it is an original processor from Intel.
