Hello
I use an HP G72 laptop with Intel Pentium P6100 processor. A Win 10 upgrade fails with the message that the CPU is not compatible due to a lack of NX support. While reading here on the product specifications page that CPU support 'Execute Disable Bit', The Control Panel says the processor does not support 'no hardware-based data execution prevention'.
So who is right and what can I do?
In the BIOS, I do not have any recruitment options ...

If the processor does not support PAE/NX/SSE2, then the OS will not run. This has been the case since Windows 8.

You may want to see if NX is turned on in the bios.
Also, this is your 2010 processor:

Your first step is to check your bios to see if NX or XD is turned on.
Then, update your bios.

Thanks for your response.
The problem is that I don't know exactly if the p6100 supports NX. The product page says yes, the control panel says no.
I already checked and updated the bios, there is no option to en- or disable NX (or something similar).

The very last item on the processor specifications is Execute Disable Bit = YES.
Contact HP for support.
